Freedom- From How Most People Think and Live
Have you ever wanted to do something like drive to somewhere far away but let reasoning get in the way of actually ever doing it. Have you ever spontaneously just dropped what you’re doing and done something completely out there that people say you’re crazy? If you haven’t, I recommend you do it. I have been living my life with this philosophy on life for a few years now and I’ve had a lot more fun than I would have if I was reasonable. Not only that but I believe I would not make it this far in life without this attitude. I would not have gone to college, I would not have been on the IUP Cross Country Team, and I would not be writing this to begin with.
Just one of the crazy things I have decided to do. Just about a month ago I drove to Key Largo Florida and I had just decided to do it only a week in advance. It was a 20 hour drive and I and my friends Ed and Paul rotated for a drive that did not stop from Philadelphia to Key Largo. My friend and x-girlfriend Kelly works in Key Largo for the Ocean Reef Club as a cook. She hooked us up with housing for four nights and it only cost us ninety-five dollars each. I would have paid more if I had to. I believe that you can’t let things like money hold you back from doing what you want to do. I’ve been broke many times due to my lifestyle but I’m always doing what I want and I’m more than happy doing it. I’ll admit it gets stressful sometimes but I’d rather take my risks in life than sit back and think about what I could’ve done.
I believe that this really reflects who I am as a person. I’m not afraid of failing, I don’t let things like norms and what people say, get in my way of doing what I want to do with my life. I feel so much more free than I used to when I was in early high school, saving money and playing it safe.
